Adsorption and assembly of copper phthalocyanine on cross-linked Ti[O.sub.2](110)-(1*2) and Ti[O.sub.2](210)
Article Abstract:
Copper phthalocyanine (CuPc) on reconstructed rutile Ti[O.sub.2] was studied with ultrahigh vacuum variable temperature scanning tunneling microscopy. The CuPc molecules initially preferred adsorbing at step sites as both surfaces and with increasing of its coverage, it formed one and two dimensional self-assembled structures and the assembled CuPc molecules exclusively imbedded in the troughs formed by the missed oxygen rows at both Ti[O.sub.2](110) and Ti[O.sub.2](210) surfaces.

Methyl phthalocyanine nanoribbons and nanowires
Article Abstract:
Nanoribbons and nanowires of different metal phtalocyanines (Cu, Ni, Fe Co and Zn) as well as copper hexadecafluorophthalocyanine were grown by organic vapor-phase deposition. The size and morphology of the nanostructures were found to be mainly determined by the substrate temperature, twisted nanoribbons were found for all materials except copper hexadecafluorophthalocyanine, which formed helical nanoribbons upon exposure to an electron beam.

Influence of chlorine substitution on the self-assembly of zinc phthalocyanine
Article Abstract:
The adsorption and ordering of zinc phthalocyanine (ZnPc) and octachloro zinc phthalocyanine (ZnPc[Cl.sub.8]) on an Ag(111) surfaces is explored in situ by using scanning tunneling microscopy under ultrahigh vacuum. The analysis has revealed the effect of molecule-substrate interactions through the presence of fault lines generating a stripe structure in the molecular film.
